After you get this memorized, play this Speed exercise to a Metronome. Figure out what your maximum speed is and set the metronome 5 beats per minute (BPM) higher to force yourself to play faster. After practicing at this speed for awhile, set the metronome back to your maximum speed and you'll see that it will be easier for you. Practice this and week-to-week you will see your maximum speed increase.
This speed exercise has been very beneficial to students because of the shifting that happens within the progression. It is a unique move and builds coordination.
